We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy expert for our renovation project. We signed up and advertised our project details, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

We are here extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would urge using their platform. There are more reliable alternatives out there. We regret having wasted our time on this ineffective service.

Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the legalese. Then, there's the terrible customer service that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like talking to a wall.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to talk about the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade turned into a nightmare. I booked a trader through their website to complete some crucial home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it turned out a appalling ordeal.

Even though I transferred the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Contact became impossible. It's been months, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.

Checkatrade has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They provided empty promises. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
